A roller blind is a window covering typically made from a polyester or vinyl fabric wrapped around a plastic or metal tube. The entire design is sleek, space-saving and versatile. The type of fabric used can block the sunlight entirely, allow the sunlight to filter through, assist with temperature control or block out harmful UV rays.

A face fix roller blind is mounted on the front or face of the window frame or wall above the window opening, extending beyond the window recess to cover the entire window and potentially maximize light and privacy control. This type of blind is easier to install as you avoid drilling into the narrow confines of the window recess.

The reveal fix roller blind is installed inside the window recess, flush with the wall, creating a neat appearance. It is an ideal choice where space is a premium. It is important to ensure that the window recess has sufficient depth and width to accommodate the roller blinds’ components.

The 70mm powder coated aluminum cassette is a stylish casing that covers the roller blinds’ mechanism. It is available in Anthracite, Black, Grey or White. The cassette is an add on option, with a second option of a fabric insert. The fabric insert uses the same fabric as the roller blind and covers the front section of the cassette as shown in the image.

The hero chain tidy in white plastic, with a chrome ball chain, is included with every roller blind. It keeps the roller chain neatly organized and acts as a child safety device. It eliminates free-hanging loops and reduces the risk of strangulation. It is fitted to the side of the window recess or the face of the window frame.

Roller blind fabrics which are classified as Ultra-Fresh have been treated with an antimicrobial application that prevents the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew and fungi. This results in fabrics with fresher, cleaner and longer-lasting properties, especially beneficial in humid and damp environments.

A halogen-free flame retardant fabric is one that is treated with chemicals to make it fire-resistant without using halogens like chlorine or bromine. They work by employing different mechanisms to slow down or suppress the spread of flames, often by absorbing heat or forming protective char layers. They reduce the risk of exposure to toxic gases during a fire.
