A face fix blind is mounted on the front or face oof the window frame or wall above the window opening, extending beyond the window recess to cover the entire window and potentially maximize light and privacy control. This type of blind is easier to install as you avoid drilling into the narrow confines of the window recess.

A reveal fix blind is installed within the window recess or opening, also known as the ” cut out ” of the window. This results in a cleaner, more integrated look, as the blind sits flush with the window frame. There are small gaps between the side of the reveal to allow the blind to move up and down without interference.

The drop (2) of the blind is a vertical measurement. The width (1) of the blind is a horizontal measurement. Our blind sizes are all in millimeters and no extra millimeters are added.

The lift cord is used to raise or lower the blind. It can be placed at the left side or at the right side of the blind. The lift cord is of a high quality polyester and a toggle is used to keep the ends of the lift cord from fraying. The lift cord and toggle are matched to the fabric of the blind.

Our wood valance has the same finish as the blind. It is 15mm wider than the blind unless your size is specified. Valance returns, also called end caps, are attached to the sides of the valance, which completely hide the mechanism.

The extended face fix bracket has a maximum extension of 30mm. This brings the blind further away from the window than the standard bracket does and is used for the wood venetian or wood alloy blind. If the window frame has handles, vents or other protrusions, an extended bracket allows the blind to clear these obstructions. Face fix blinds with an extended bracket can provide more support for wider or taller windows where recess fitting may not be adequate.

The reveal fix roller blind has a white aluminum powder coated bracket at the end of the roller tube, which keeps the blind attached to the window frame. The steel ball chain is the control mechanism which lifts or lowers the blind. This is a standard roll type which means that the fabric rolls off of the back of the roll.

The 70mm powder coated aluminum cassette is a stylish casing that covers the roller blinds’ mechanism. It is available in Anthracite, Black, Grey or White. The cassette is an add on option, with a second option of a fabric insert. The fabric insert uses the same fabric as the roller blind and covers the front section of the cassette as shown in the image.

The hero chain tidy in white plastic, with a chrome ball chain, is included with every roller blind. It keeps the roller chain neatly organized and acts as a child safety device. It eliminates free-hanging loops and reduces the risk of strangulation. It is fitted to the side of the window recess or the face of the window frame.

Roller blind fabrics which are classified as Ultra-Fresh have been treated with an antimicrobial application that prevents the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew and fungi. This results in fabrics with fresher, cleaner and longer-lasting properties, especially beneficial in humid and damp environments.

A halogen-free flame retardant fabric is one that is treated with chemicals to make it fire-resistant without using halogens like chlorine or bromine. They work by employing different mechanisms to slow down or suppress the spread of flames, often by absorbing heat or forming protective char layers. They reduce the risk of exposure to toxic gases during a fire.
